About Lessray

Lessray is an image enhancement platform designed to take low quality, low radiation images and improve them to look like conventional full dose images.

Lessray uses proprietary image processing to post-process low-dose/pulsed images, improving resolution and contrast to provide clinically valuable images to the physician. To produce these images, Lessray interfaces directly with the fluoroscope. The captured images created by the fluoroscope are transmitted in real time to the Lessray computer where the images are enhanced and then displayed on the Lessray monitor for physician review.

Lessray Overview

As the radiation needed to obtain an x-ray image dictates the radiation exposure to the patient, physician, and staff, using low radiation images should strongly impact this potentially harmful exposure. Lessray offers the physician and hospital system the opportunity to use significantly reduced radiation imaging in any procedure that requires x-ray imaging, and therefore allows them to potentially better abide by the principles of ALARA.
